Once every blue moon, a tragic event occurs that brings out the best in people and the best in radio as it helps unite us in the face of adversity. One of the most poignant was a live report by
Melbourne’s 3AW was off-air from around 11:30 this morning as the result of a power outage.
The power failure affected servers, computers and thus the broadcast signals which rendered the program off the air.
Three community radio stations, ArtSound FM, 1CMS and 1WAY FM have relocated their FM transmitter site to Black Mountain near Canberra, thanks to a recent agreement struck with Broadcast Australia that will allow shared use of the antenna on Telstra
In what felt like one of the most emotional signoffs in Australian radio history, Robin Bailey has farewelled listeners and her Triple M team today (Sep 20).
Bailey announced she would step down last week.
After the surprise news on Sunday that Robin Bailey was to leave her breakfast radio post, Triple M Brisbane has just revealed her replacement.
Margaux Parker will join The Big Breakfast from September 30.
