Smooth Radio is launching its national Drive show with Angie Greaves this week as a number of regional presenters leave the network.
The brand will keep the majority of its current breakfast presenters with just one moving from Drive to Breakfast.
One of Global’s lesser-known radio services, The Arrow, has quietly closed down and played its last track.
The service launched in July 2001 under its previous owner, Chrysalis, and was bought along with Heart and LBC by Global in 2007.
Smooth Chill is the latest new radio station from Global – replacing the almost 15-year-old Chill service.
Chill launched in February 2005 and has been operated by Global since it bought its founder, GCap Media.
Global’s country music playlist Smooth Country is getting upgraded and going on DAB in a number of places across the UK.
In addition, presenter Eamonn Kelly will host a show each weekday, from 9am till 1pm.
